Reflections of Kankakee County
Presented by Bourbonnais Township Park District
Let the memories roll as you travel through the stories, places, and people that shaped Kankakee County. Reflections of Kankakee County is a heartfelt tour that brings history to life through the lens of those who lived it. We’ll begin at beautiful Perry Farm with a charming trolley ride to the historic barns, family gravesites, and Perry home exterior. Then, aboard the bus, we’ll visit the Letourneau House and the one-room Log School House at The Grove. The journey continues through time at the French Heritage Museum, the Kankakee County Museum, Dr. Small House, and the 1910 Schoolhouse – each stop a window into the past. Enjoy a boxed lunch amid the beauty of the Column Garden at the museum grounds, weather permitting. The tour wraps up with a return to Perry Farm Park, where you can take a quiet walk and enjoy the festive Scarecrow Trail at your own pace.
